Canada 150+… a history of people, places and practices at Alloway Library

2017 marks the sesquicentennial (150 years) of Canada’s Confederation. Yet what we know today as Canada stretches far beyond that historic event, and is made up of a rich and diverse tapestry of cultures, languages, and traditions spread across nearly ten million square kilometres of land.
Alloway Library’s summer assistant, Madeline Gallard, has selected books from the collection that capture a small part of Canada’s history, and presents a vision of what Canada may look like in the years to come.
