Impact of Canada Post Work Disruption on Interlibrary Loan Book Deliveries

It appears that a strike or lock-out at Canada Post could take place as early as July 4th. In the event of a postal strike, most lending libraries will not ship interlibrary loan books via the postal system.

Arrival times for any book requests will be dependent on the length of the labour action. If the strike continues indefinitely,  Alloway Library and our lending partners will re-assess the situation for viable alternatives.

For those making interlibrary load requests for books, please be aware that we will not be able to estimate the arrival date for your request. Requests for journal articles, which are sent by email, will be unaffected by the strike and delivered as usual.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email ill@twu.ca
