TWU and VST libraries agree to share

On July 28 TWU Librarian Ted Goshulak and Gillian McLeod, the library director at Vancouver School of Theology signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning Reciprocal Loans between TWU’s Alloway Library and the H.R. MacMillan Library at the Vancouver School of Theology.

The agreement, which goes into effect on August 1, gives library privileges to faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students at both institutions’ libraries. TWU borrowers will need to show a valid TWU ID card and adhere to the loan and services policies of the VST library.

VST's H.R. MacMillan Theological Library is one of the major theological libraries in Canada. Library users have open access to most of the collection which includes over 85,000 volumes, 1,300 pamphlets, and 1,000 microfilms. The Library subscribes to over 400 current periodicals and has long runs of many theological journals. About 2,000 rare books are available for use only in VST Library. Library staff are knowledgeable and available and happy to help. Individual inquiries are always welcome. All library areas are wheelchair accessible.

Alloway Library participates in reciprocal loan agreements with institutions across Canada including 12 universities and colleges in BC.
